C.S. Lewis: Tutor and Lecturer in Philosophy: Philosophical Notes, 1924
Edited by Norbert Feinendegen and Arend Smilde
In the academic year 1924–1925, C.S. Lewis held a temporary lectureship in Philosophy at University College, Oxford. During that year’s three terms, he tutored students in Literae Humaniores and delivered two courses of lectures. The surviving notes and papers related to this lectureship are important sources for Lewis’s early philosophical development.
They are here presented for the first time by Norbert Feinendegen and Arend Smilde in a meticulous critical edition with substantial biographical and philosophical introductions.
